The title searches usually takes approximately 2 – 8 days to complete depending on the type of title held by the Vendor.
We will also be required to complete a Judgment Search at the Supreme Court Registry in respect of all Vendors to verify that there is no enforcement proceedings in progress against the particular vendor and that there are no pending injunctions.

We strongly suggest that a title search be done by our company prior to executing any sale agreement in Belize. This is to ensure that the property is free and clear and is not encumbered. It also helps to ensure that the property is in fact owned by the Vendor.
An escrow agent is also recommended for all property transactions in Belize. This allows an independent third party to hold the purchase funds and/or deposit pending the closing of the transaction.
